Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi had a dull opening at the Box Office. The film raked in a mere 60 lacs on its 1st Friday i.e. Day 1 at the domestic box office. The film, starring Siddharth Gupta and Simran Kaur Mundi in lead roles, clearly had no takers in the multiplexes or single screens.

The film received average critics responses and failed to impress the audiences too. Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi can manage to perform better only on the basis of a positive word of mouth. Also the spoiler for this film was the ongoing IPL tournament, since the tournament is now in its last leg.

The film has chances of picking up over the weekend, although the other release Citylights has started off better than this. Also with last week’s Heropanti still performing strong, Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi will find bit tough to come up with a decent opening weekend collection.
