Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 is all set to hit theaters on October 15. The advance collections for the film are pretty impressive, with only a limited number of screens opened so far. Fewer than 5,000 shows have been opened in India ahead of the film’s grand theatrical release. Given the film’s scale, it is expected to open with at least 10,000 shows.

Jailer 2 India Advance Booking

The film, which has a rich pan-India cast, is expected to have a record-breaking opening on October 15. Nelson Dilipkumar’s directorial is releasing on October 15 in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, with Anirudh Ravichander once again composing the music. With three days left, the film has already sold over 5 lakh tickets in India, including block seats, across 4,907 shows. The film has earned a gross of 11.05 crore on Day 1. For the opening weekend, the total collection stands at 16.84 crore gross (14.50 crore without block seats).

How Much Does Jailer 2 Need To Enter Rajinikanth’s Top 5 Advance Booking List?

Rajinikanth still commands a box-office pull. His stardom is enough to bring audiences to theaters even after all these years. Jailer 2 already has a fan following because of the success of its prequel. However, Jailer 2 is still far from making it to the top of Rajinikanth’s advance booking list. While it will definitely enter the top five, surpassing Jailer, it remains to be seen whether it can surpass Coolie. Lokesh Kanagaraj’s 2025 directorial was released during the Independence Day weekend, which helped the film’s opening collection.

Here are the top five biggest Day 1 advance bookings for Rajinikanth:

  1. Coolie – 46.36 crore
  2. Annamalai – 23.25 crore
  3. Vettaiyan – 22.86 crore
  4. 2.0 – 20 crore
  5. Jailer – 18.24 crore
