Dangal arrived on the eve of Christmas vacation and took a very good start of 29.78 crores. The film was high on pre-release buzz owing to Aamir’s credibility and interesting trailer. As the content turned out to be extraordinary, the film witnessed a healthy jump on day 2 and its first Sunday was simply outstanding. After being in theatres for a very long period, the sports drama wrapped up its run at 387.39 crores.
