Akshay Kumar has now broken his own record with a smashing performance of Brothers. The film in its two days itself has made a collection of 36.63 crores at the domestic box office. It has beaten Akshay Kumar’s first film of the year, Baby‘s record which collected 35.90 cores over its opening weekend.
The film has also beaten other films of the year such as Piku, Roy and Drishyam. With Brothers entering the top 10 highest opening weekend grossers of the year list, Varun Dhawan’s Badlapur has now been evicted which stood at the tenth position with an opening weekend collection of 24 crores.
Since Sunday is expected to be even bigger, an opening weekend collection of approximately 55 crores is expected, thus the film may become the second highest opening weekend grosser of the year, currently it stands on the sixth position.
