She briefly took a break after getting married and welcoming her twins. Now, the actress is back on our big screens, experimenting with new roles. The actress will next pack some action in the comedy film Vibe. Despite spending over two decades in the industry, the actress has yet to achieve a major box office milestone.

Preity Zinta To Finally Achieve 50 Crore Milestone?

Yes, that’s right! The actress has yet to achieve the 50-crore milestone at the box office in India. Many expected her to meet the milestone and more with the recently released film Batwara 1947, co-starring Sunny Deol. The Independence Day weekend release was expected to rule the box office. However, the film failed to perform well despite receiving largely positive reviews. Many also expected the Rajkumar Santoshi directorial to mark Preity’s first 100 crore film. However, the movie failed to even touch the 50 crore mark and has wrapped up its theatrical run in less than a month.

Now, Preity Zinta is looking forward to the release of Kunal Kemmu’s directorial Vibe. The actress has previously proven her ability in comic roles, but this is the first time she will be seen performing action on screen. It’s a whole new avatar for the actress, and it will be refreshing to see her on the big screen in a comical role. Moreover, Vibe has the potential to score well at the box office, owing to the success of Kunal Kemmu’s debut directorial, Madgaon Express. His debut was also in the comedy genre, and the actor proved his worth in it. The film had earned nearly 60 crore in worldwide box office gross. Meanwhile, around 38 crore net was earned in India. If Vibe secures positive reviews, it can reach the 50 crore mark in India.

Preity Zinta’s Biggest Hits

Currently, the 51-year-old’s highest-grossing film is Koi… Mil Gaya, which co-stars Hrithik Roshan. The film was a massive hit and earned 46.96 crore net at the domestic box office in 2003. However, it remains to be seen if Vibe can surpass the film’s collection and help Preity score her first half-century in India.
