While the film held steady at the box office, it did not see significant growth despite strong word of mouth. In its second week, the film also saw an increase in shows, but there was not much difference in collections. Now, the film faces a new challenge.

Loses 86% Of Its Shows To Jailer 2
Baththa was expected to enter the safe zone in its second week. The film, made on a budget of 28 crore, could have easily crossed the mark if not for the release of a magnum opus. Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 proved challenging for Baththa. The film, released on October 15, dominated most shows in southern India, especially in Tamil Nadu. From Thursday, Baththa lost 86% of its shows to Jailer 2, marking a huge dip in its show count.
Before the release of Jailer 2, Baththa earned a net of 1.02 crore in India. On the day Jailer 2 was released, the Vijay Sethupathi film’s collection dropped to 26 lakh. This was a 74.5% drop in collections in a single day.
Currently, Baththa is just 70 lakh away from reaching the safe zone. The film can still cross the mark by Monday. However, the chances of the film registering a good profit are very slim.
