
Avengers: Endgame Encore was released in theaters on September 25. The Hollywood film’s re-release came with much anticipation and excitement. It has already surpassed the re-release collection of Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar and become the highest-grossing Hollywood re-release in India. Now, it is aiming to surpass the collections of Indian re-release records. The film is currently in its second week at the box office and has slowed down in India.

The Hollywood re-release includes additional scenes not included in the original release. These scenes connect to the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, in which Robert Downey Jr. returns. Additionally, the film has a post-credits sequence that connects to the upcoming film. The Avengers re-release opened to much anticipation and, in Week 1, secured over 3,000 shows daily in India. However, in Week 2, with new releases, the film lost the majority of its shows. To be precise, the film lost 91% of its shows. Despite that, the film earned 34 lakh on its second Monday, bringing the net total to 34.29 crore.

After surpassing all Hollywood re-releases in India, the film is now eyeing to challenge Bollywood re-releases in India. The biggest Bollywood film to score the most on its second run in theaters is Sanam Teri Kasam. At a net of 35.55 crore in India, Sanam Teri Kasam is the highest-grossing Bollywood re-release. At the current pace, despite losing the majority of its shows, Encore can still cross Sanam Teri Kasam or at least tie with it. If the film maintains its current pace in Week 2, it will cross the Hindi re-release’s total.

The special presentation includes additional scenes that connect to Avengers: Doomsday, which arrives in cinemas on 18 December 2026.
