The Zach Cregger reboot collected a decent $813k from Sunday previews. It was released in China on the 5th day of the local Golden Week, a 7-day-long holiday.

The report also reveals the film had incredible walk-up business, especially for horror, with almost 74% of tickets bought on the day and just 26.2% sold during pre-sales. The reboot has also scored the franchise’s biggest opening day in China. It is also the biggest opening day for any Hollywood horror film.
