Reception of Article 370
The film was released yesterday all across the country. Considering the impactful trailer and its intriguing subject, there is a genuine interest on the ground, and that was clearly seen yesterday as a surprising start was registered. At the end of the day, it was seen that this Yami Gautam starrer is enjoying positive reviews among audiences. Even the majority of reviews are working in favor. So, it won’t be a surprise if this film turns out to be the first sleeper hit of 2024 from Bollywood.
Day 2 advance booking report
Yesterday, the occasion of Cinema Lovers’ Day was celebrated across the country. Apart from national cinema chains (PVR INOX & Cinepolis), other selected multiplexes also participated in this occasion, and the cost of the ticket was kept at 99 rupees flat (excluding taxes and service charges). Article 370 benefitted from this immensely, and pre-sales of 2.10 crores gross were recorded for the opening day in India (excluding blocked seats).

Today, as ticket rates are back to normal, Article 370 has shown an expected drop, and the advance booking of 1.40 crores gross (excluding blocked seats) has been recorded for day 2. If calculated, it’s a difference of 33.33%, but still, it’s a decent number as this Yami Gautam starrer isn’t a front-loaded affair and completely relies on over-the-counter ticket sales.
Article 370 to show a solid jump?
Even though there’s a drop in pre-sales, a positive trend is seen for Article 370. On BookMyShow, the film has sold around 4.60K tickets within just an hour, and this graph will only increase as the day progresses. Apart from that, the city-wise trend is also impressive, with major centers like Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi, and Pune showing rapid growth in ticket sales.
There are chances that the film might show a healthy jump as evening and shows are expected to pick up massively.
