Yami Gautam-led Article 370 has turned out to be a pleasant surprise for Bollywood. After an underwhelming performance of Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter, Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya provided some sort of relief. After that, Yami’s film successfully maintained that momentum and emerged as a clean success. Here’s where it stands now at the worldwide box office!

Reception of Article 370

Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, the political thriller was released on 23rd February, and upon arrival, it received mostly positive reviews from critics. While there was always some sort of curiosity around the film due to its subject, the positive reactions from viewers provided a boost at ticket windows. As a result, it’s already a commercial winner.

Article 370 at the worldwide box office

Article 370 recently completed its third week in theatres, and after 21 days, it stands at 73.56 crores net at the Indian box office. In gross, it equals 86.80 crores. In overseas, the performance has been fair enough, with 13.50 crores gross coming in so far. Combining both Indian and overseas gross, the worldwide box office collection is 100.30 crores gross.

Another 100 crore grosser for Bollywood!

With 100.30 crores gross, Article 370 has become the fourth Bollywood film of Bollywood to cross the 100 crore mark globally in 2024. Before this, Yami Gautam starrer, Fighter, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiyan, and Shaitaan have achieved the feat.

What’s next?

In the third week itself, Article 370 showed signs of slowing down, and now, with the arrival of two new releases- Yodha and Bastar: The Naxal Story, the film won’t be able to cover much distance. Other than these two films, Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan’s Shaitaan is also doing good in theatres.

From here, the film will show some growth over the weekend and is expected to end the theatrical journey between 80 and 90 crores net in India.
