Some time ago, news emerged that Rajinikanth is joining hands with director Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film is tentatively titled ‘Thalaivar 171’ and has great excitement amongst the fans. Thalaivar 171 Villain and Exciting Cameos

For an actor like Rajinikanth, the villain has to be menacing. A report by DT Next stated that actor Mic Mohan might play the movie’s antagonist. The team has approached Mohan to play the bad guy and will soon announce if things are finalised. The actor is known for performing in popular movies like Nooravathu Naal, Sutta Pazham, Payanangal Mudivathillai, etc.

Shah Rukh Khan & Rajinikanth To Reunite After Ra One?

The report further states that the makers want Shah Rukh Khan to make a special appearance in the film. Everyone knows how much Shah Rukh admires Rajinikanth. In his 2011 film RaOne, the South star appeared as Chitti The Robot. In 2013, SRK paid tribute to the Thalaiva with the song Lungi Dance. So far, there is no confirmation of Khan’s cameo in Thalaivar 171.

Apart from SRK, there is also speculation of the team approaching Vijay Sethupathi to be a part of the action thriller. Lokesh Kanagaraj and the Merry Christmas actor worked together earlier in the Master and Vikram movies.

Meanwhile, earlier, a report stated that Rajinikanth’s film with Lokesh is inspired by the Hollywood film, Purge (2013). It’s a story about a night where all the crimes, including murders, are legal. So, members of a wealthy family are under major threat. The Hollywood film stars Ethan Hawke, Lena Headey, Adelaide Kane and Max Burkholder. However, there is no confirmation if the story of Kanagaraj’s film is influenced by Hawke’s Hollywood thriller.
