Sara Ali Khan, who will be seen next in Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal, has become a bankable name in the industry in no time. The actress is working with one of the biggest stars and it looks like there is no stopping the actress now. The latest buzz is that she has been roped in for Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj’s Kaminey 2.
The speculations began doing rounds when Sara was spotted at Vishal Bhardwaj’s office recently. It only got confirmed when a source revealed that the Love Aaj Kal actress had an intense chat with the director. According to Latestly’s exclusive source, the makers of Kaminey 2 were on a search for an actress to star alongside Shahid Kapoor and Sara became an obvious choice for them given her increasing popularity.
The source revealed, “They were zeroing on an actress alongside Shahid Kapoor for Kaminey 2, the second installment of the critically acclaimed film, and Sara has become an obvious choice for the project.” If everything works out fine, an official announcement about the same will hopefully be made soon.
The source also added, “After the success of her two films Kedarnath and Simmba, Sara was gearing up for Coolie No. 1 and Love Aaj Kal 2, and now it’s just a matter of time that Sara will announce that she will be seen with Sasha.”
Earlier, the report also stated that the director had registered the title ‘Maha Kaminey’ and was planning to start the process as soon as Shahid wraps up for the Jersey remake. “Vishal has a script idea for a film which could take the franchise ahead and it is called Maha Kaminey. Shahid played the roles of Guddu and Charlie in the original film, and he will be continuing to reprise that role in case Vishal and he decide to work together again after Shahid wraps Jersey,” said a source close to Deccan Chronicle.
Other details about the film have been kept under wraps as of now and honestly, we cannot wait to see Sara and Shahid share the screen space together. As for Sara, apart from this supposed project, the actress has Love Aaj Kal, Coolie No. 1 and Atrangi Re.
