Actor Sanjay Dutt is dealing with a rough phase in his life. The actor who was diagnosed with cancer last month is under treatment in the city. But seems like he wishes on wrapping up his work commitments that await. As per reports, amid the ongoing treatment, Dutt has come back on the sets of Shamshera that also stars Ranbir Kapoor to resume the shoot. Read on to know more.
For the unversed, set in the 19th century, Shamshera is a story about a group of dacoits who stood against the British for their rights and Independence of the country. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead alongside Vaani Kapoor. Dutt plays the baddie on this period drama.
Shamshera has been in the making for quite some time now. Adding to the delay was the lockdown that followed the Coronavirus outbreak. Now Sanjay Dutt has returned to the sets to finish his work. As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, the actor does not wish to delay the film anymore.
Talking about the same, a source close to the development said, “The film has been stuck following the six-month coronavirus-induced lockdown and Sanjay did not want to delay it further. So, even though he is currently undergoing treatment, he reported at a city studio on Monday, taking all the necessary precautions and following the SOPs while on the set.”
Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt is getting treated in the city itself. Initially, the plan was to fly down to New York to get the treatment. But later it was reported that the actor has decided to stay back due to the COVID-19 outbreak in the US.
