Post the debacle of Zero, Shah Rukh Khan fans were quite eager to know which film will the actor sign next. It was only when the news of him joining hands with Atlee for a film was out, fans were relieved. While there has been no official announcement yet, it is said that the film will be titled Sanki and Shah Rukh Khan will make the announcement on his birthday – November 2. But did you know that the film has a Salman Khan connect to it?
Yes, you read that right. Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee’s film is titled Sanki which was also the title of a film that featured Salman Khan. Don’t remember it yet? Well, Salman Khan was supposed to star in a film called Sanki that did not happen the way it was planned initially.
The film was to be directed by Shirish Kunder and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala way back in 2010. However, Shirish Kunder was dropped and Sajid Nadiadwala took over as the director. Sajid, however, claimed that Shirish was never approached for the film. Anyway, Salman Khan fans got to see the film with the new title which we now know as Kick. Yes, it was the 2014 blockbuster Kick which is a remake of a Telugu film of the same name, that was initially titled Sanki.
Movie name Sanki translates to someone who is hot-headed and now SRK fans are eager to see what this Atlee film will be all about. It is said that Sanki is expected to be a complete mass-entertainer on the lines of Atlee’s recent films. In the South, Atlee has given the audience some blockbuster hits with his collaborations with Thalapathy Vijay, from Theri to the recent Bigil and now we will have to wait and see how he uses SRK talent in his film.
Apart from this, Shah Rukh Khan is also rumoured to be a part of another Hollywood talk show. He recently made an appearance on the talk show hosted by David Letterman.
