Rhea Chakraborty’s “Smash The Patriarchy” t-shirt quote created a huge stir on social media yesterday. As she wore a t-shirt with a message, “Roses are red, violets are blue, let’s smash the patriarchy, me and you”, it became a topic of discussion.
Later on, many Bollywood stars like Vidya Balan, Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap among others were noticed spreading the same message.
Supporting Rhea Chakraborty, Sonam Kapoor posted, “Everyone loves a witch hunt as long as it’s someone else’s witch being hunted. Walter Kirn.”
Now a famous pizza brand has hit a sixer by using the trending topic as part of their ‘situational marketing’ strategy inspired from Rhea Chakraborty’s t-shirt quote. The brand is sending all of its customers a message which uses the “Roses are red, violets are blue…” quote in a customised way to boost their sales.
A part of the text message which many received today reads as saying, “Roses are red, weekdays are blue, Want pizza? Here’s 2. Buy 1 Medium Pizza and get 1 FREE.” Now that’s clever! Isn’t it? What are your thoughts on this campaign by the brand.
Those who aren’t aware, Rhea Chakraborty had worn the said T-Shirt while visiting Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) office in Mumbai for interrogations.
Reportedly, Rhea Chakraborty in her statement to the Narcotics Control Bureau accepted her role in procuring drugs for late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and also handling the finances.
“During her statement, Rhea revealed about her involvement in procurement of drugs and financial transactions and also her instructions to Samuel Miranda, Dipesh Sawant and Showik Chakraborty,” NCB said in its application for judicial custody for 14 days for Rhea Chakraborty.
