Kashmiri model Junaid Shah first grabbed headlines earlier for his uncanny resemblance to Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor. The Saawariya actor’s doppelganger passed away in Srinagar after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Kashmiri journalist Yusuf Jameel shared the news of Junaid Shah’s death on Twitter. He wrote, “Our old neighbor Nissar Ahmed Shah’s son Junaid passed away due to massive cardiac arrest overnight. People say he was a lookalike of Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor. I say he was a big hope, strength & salvation of his ailing father and his mother & that of whole Kashmir. Magfirah!

He further wrote that the 28-year-old doppelganger and his parents had returned home from Mumbai recently where he was doing some modeling. He also wrote that Junaid Shah was reportedly enrolled in Anupam Kher ‘s school of acting. He also mentioned that he has no history of any heart ailment.
Junaid Shah’s pictures went viral a couple of years ago when fans noticed his striking resemblance to Ranbir Kapoor. Even Ranbir’s father, the Late Rishi Kapoor tweeted in 2015, “OMG. My own son has a double!!! Promise cannot make out. A good double.”

On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor will soon feature in Ayan Mukerji’s action-adventure venture, Brahmastra. The film also stars Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Dimple Kapadia and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. As of now, the film is scheduled to release at the end of 2020.
