“P se Pyaar, F se Faraar” is a hard-hitting take on the rampant honor killings in the country and the film’s narrative is based in a UP town. Director Manoj Tiwari describes the film as “Hindustaan mein prem bhi ek kaand hai, Kyonki Zaat ek Khula Saand hai.”
Manoj Tiwari further says that he was shocked to see a newspaper report a few months back which said that the percentage of honour killing in the country was rising by a shocking 796% every year in clear defiance of Article 19. Which gives the right to freedom, where everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression. But India is in a grip of caste fever and no place for love and lovers.
The film features Jimmy Shergill, Sanjay Mishra, Kumud Mishra, Girish Kulkarni, and new face Bhavesh Kumar. The film highlights the subject of caste and religious disparities and shows how these caste inequalities are still prevalent in society today.
Talking about acts of vengeance committed by family members against females, director Manoj Tiwari said, “There are many boys who are good in education including sports, IIT, Medical so why don’t we consider that area of interest rather than focusing on caste, religion, and culture. If boys and girls both are happy and legally mature enough to make a decision then society should not become a hindrance. So, my primary motive to choose this film was the story, which will definitely bring change in our society and perspective of people.”
