Although no one has confirmed it officially yet, it’s almost certain that Shah Rukh Khan is doing his next film with Rajkumar Hirani that will be a social comedy based on immigration. Now it has been learned that the film will be set in Punjab and Canada.
A source close to the film has been quoted as saying by Mumbai Mirror, “Like all Raju films, it revolves around a serious, globally relevant issue and is treated with gentle humour. The story moves between Punjab and Canada,”
Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan has played a Punjabi character in the past as well but this one is promised to be different in some ways. The source adds, “This guy is jovial, he’ll make you laugh and get emotional. Shah Rukh is growing his hair for the part.”
Reportedly, the film has been written by Kanika Dhillon and Rajkumar Hirani himself while Abhijat Joshi has overlooked it. Talking about the shooting schedule of Shah Rukh Khan’s film, the source said, “It was set to go on the floors in August, but the pandemic hit the plan for a six. The trio is currently giving finishing touch to the script, after which the team will chalk out a new schedule. The film requires a long outdoor shoot abroad and they will wait till travel restrictions are eased. If things get back to normal soon, it should kick off before the year ends,”
Now that’s really exciting! Isn’t it, all you fans of Shah Rukh Khan?
Meanwhile, the actor will also have small appearances in upcoming films Brahmastra & Rocketry: The Nambi Effect.
