The shooting for Aamir Khan’s next titled Laal Singh Chaddha, was going on smoothly as per the deadline until the pandemic hit the shores. Just like many other big projects, the film has also suffered the wrath of COVID-19, and as per the latest update has been postponed for a year.
Yes, you read that right, even our heart is broken. Laal Singh Chaddha starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan will now release on Christmas 2021. A year late than the actual release date, which was Christmas 2020. The reshuffling is the effect due to the delay in schedules.
In other news, Aamir Khan has reportedly landed in Turkey to resume the shoot for Laal Singh Chaddha. A picture of him on an international airport in the foreign country has been going viral. As per reports, it is almost confirmed that the actor is there to start work. Though there is no confirmation on whether Kareena Kapoor Khan and the rest of the cast will join him or not.
Meanwhile, for the ones unaware, Laal Singh Chaddha is the official remake of the Oscar-Winning Hollywood classic Forrest Gump. The original starred Tom Hanks and is till date a favourite amid masses. The Hindi remake is being helmed by Secret Superstar fame Advait Chandan.
Alongside Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, Laal Singh Chaddha also stars Mona Singh, Manav Vij and South superstar Vijay Sethupathi in pivotal parts. The team has already shot for a major chunk in different parts of India.
