Kartik Aaryan is certainly hot cake right now. With several interesting projects in the pipeline, there seems to be an addition to his line up! Yes, you read that! The actor might soon be seen in the Hindi version of Allu Arjun’s successful outing Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.
If the industry rumour mill is anything to go by, it is being stated that the Hindi version to Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo will feature Kartik Aaryan and will be directed by Varun Dhawan’s brother, Rohit Dhawan. The film is reportedly going to be bankrolled by the original producers of the Allu Arjun starrer, Allu Aravind and S Radha Krishna.
A certain trade source close to these developments has been quoted by Mid-Day saying, “Before the lockdown, Kartik had been approached for the role of Bantu, which was played by Allu. The role is apt for Kartik, who is also a good dancer. The deal was apparently finalised on Thursday, and Kartik will film for it after he wraps up Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Dostana 2. The movie will roll in early 2021. The makers are scouting for an established actor, like Aparshakti Khurrana or Angad Bedi, to play Raj’s role. Paresh Rawal is in contention for the role of Bantu’s father. News of Kartik’s entry is being kept under wraps as the makers want to announce the remake in September.”
Apart from Allu Arjun, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo also featured Pooja Hegde, Murli Sharma, Jayaram, Sachin Khadekar, Tabu, Samuthirakani among others.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Kartik Aaryan was last seen alongside Sara Ali Khan in the Imtiaz Ali directed Love Aaj Kal. While the film tanked miserably at the box office, the actor has hope with Karan Johar’s Dostana 2 alongside Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya. He also has Anees Bazmees directed Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 alongside Kiara Advani and Tabu.
