2020 is going to be an action-packed year for John Abraham. While he dabbled between thrills [Romeo Akbar Walter], drama [Batla House] and comedy [Pagalpanti] in 2019, he would be back to breaking bones and shooting bullets with Mumbai Saga, Attack and Satyameva Jayate 2 next.
Mumbai Saga brings him back with his Shootout at Wadala and Zinda director Sanjay Gupta. The filmmaker has a knack of presenting his heroes as brawny men and Mumbai Saga isn’t going to be any different. The film has already made waves many months before its release and it’s expected that by the time of its arrival, it would be making quite some waves. John has gone all out to bring on the dramatic factor as well and just a couple of stills of his from the film have already made heads turn.
As for Attack, which is also John’s production, John is getting into a stylized avatar all over again. He has done that in the past with his Force franchise and now with Attack, he is attempting something that would be new to Bollywood. He has roped in first time director Lakshya Raj Anand for this action entertainer and the film should be red hot on its Independence Day arrival.
Meanwhile, Satyameva Jayate 2 reunites him with director Milap Zaveri and producer Nikkhil Advani after Satyameva Jayate, which was a very good success on its 2018 release. Buzz is that the second installment is all the more hard-hitting with patriotism ruling the roost and John Abraham roaring like never before. Arriving on Gandhi Jayanti, the film could well be the anti-thesis of the non-violence that one associates with the day.
While John Abraham is already planning for at least three to four more films that would get into different stages of production in 2020, for now, it would be action, and a lot more of that in 2020 with Mumbai Saga, Attack and Satyameva Jayate 2.
