When Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Pandey starrer Shakun Batra film was announced, fans were left super excited. But, the relationship drama, just like many others, had to face the wrath of the pandemic and was not able to go on floors. If the latest buzz is to go by, the Dharma production opus might go on floors this same month and maybe we know the date too. Scroll below to know.
Shakun Batra with his cast was supposed to fly to Sri Lanka just when the lockdown was imposed. The production came to a standstill. Bust as per reports; the makers now plan to shoot in Goa in a month-long schedule.
The film led by Deepika Padukone will be going on floors on September 15, as reported by Bollywood Life. Shakun will be leaving in a day or two to take care of the pre-productions. The idea is to shoot on real locations with all the guidelines in check.
Talking about the Deepika Padukone, a source said, “The delay gave Shakun time to work on the script. Since shooting in Sri Lanka is not feasible, they changed the setting to Goa which has a similar landscape of beaches and vintage churches. An overseas shoot would depend on several factors, like travel protocols, shooting permissions and the number of coronavirus cases in that country. It’s easier to shoot in India.”
“The entire team will be in Goa for over a month and will shoot at real locations. While Shakun flies off in a day or two for prep, the cast will join him around September 15,” Source added.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi and the team will also have a workshop in Mumbai, to follow SOPs. The makers also plan to shoot abroad, but the decision will be taken later.
The Shakun Batra starrer is set for Valentine’s 2021 release as of now.
