At the success party of Ek Villain yesterday, a journalist complimented Riteish about his role as Rakesh in Ek Villain, specifying the similarities of it with Shah Rukh Khan’s epic portrayal of an obsessive lover in Darr.
Riteish was pleasantly surprised at the comment and exclaimed, “The very fact that someone thought my role was as good as Shah Rukh Khan’s character in Darr is an award for me. If anyone even thought that I was anything even relatively close to that, it’s an award enough for me.”
Ek Villain has been doing impressively well at the domestic box office and Riteish will now gear up for his Marathi debut with ‘Lai Bhaari‘ while audiences are going gaga over his performance in Ek Villain.
