The tension around Sushant Singh Rajput case doesn’t seem to die down anytime soon. Yesterday, NCB arrested Rhea Chakraborty for procuring drugs. A lot of Bollywood celebs like Anurag Kashyap, Taapsee Pannu, Dia Mirza, Kareena Kapoor Khan and others came out in her support. However, this didn’t go down well with SSR fans.

Since morning, #BoycottBollywoodfilms is trending on social media. Sushant fans are upset that many stars are supporting Rhea, whom the family has cited as the main accuse in the case. Kashyap took to his Twitter and shared a tweet slamming those who are targetting the actress. He wrote, “Everybody baying for Rhea’s blood, asking questions like how did you know she didn’t do this or that to him?how do you what was he going through?are forgetting that the whole industry has actually known and seen and interacted with SSR over last 9-10 years. Yes we know better.”

A Twitter user named Simlee Das hit back at Anurag Kashyap for his tweet. She replied, “Yes it is the same film industry that boycotted Sushant for years. The same industry that made him sidelined and tagged him bipolar because he was way above you and you can’t ever fathom his superiority, brilliance! Very soon your bubble pride will brust ! Dawn z near !”

Anurag Kashyap quoted her tweet and shared chats with Sushant Singh Rajput’s manager from May 22, 2020, and June 14, 2020. He didn’t reveal the name of this manager. The director revealed why he didn’t want to work with SSR. In the chats from May 22, the manager requests the director to keep the late actor in mind for any of his projects. To this, the director replied, “He is too problematic man. I have known him before he started out, and got him his first film Kai Po Che”.

He shared the tweet and apologised by writing, “I am sorry that I am doing this but this chat is from three weeks before he passed away. Chat with his manager on 22 May .. havent don’t it so far but feel the need now .. yes I didn’t want to work with him for my own reasons ..”

The second tweet has screenshots from June 14, 2020 conversation. In this conversation, Anurag Kashyap tells the manager, “Yeah I walked away from *name blacked out* because Mukesh told me Sushant wanted to do my film. Then Sushant ghosted me. And I shelved the film.”

To this, the manager responds, “He had tremendous respect for you and Gattu (Abhishek Kapoor”. Anurag tells him that they’ve always been honest and that’s why he was upset. He wrote, “Mukesh had something to do with it. So I just stayed away from the two”.

It is not clear whether Anurag Kashyap is talking about Mukesh Chhabra or Mukesh Bhatt. He shared the screenshots and wrote, “Also My conversation with his manager on June 14th . It will show you things if you want to see. It feels horrible to do this but can’t keep it back .. and for those as well who think we didn’t care for the family. As honest as I can be .. judge me all you want ..”
