Apart from his long line up of films, Akshay Kumar is making headlines for his generosity yet again. As per reports the actor has decided to donate to the Assam and Bihar flood relief. It is being said that he will be donating Rs 1 crore each and below are all the details about the same.
For the unversed, Akshay Kumar is not in the country right now. The actor took off to begin work on his film Bell Bottom. But he is very much aware of things happening back home. As per reports the actor is set to transfer funds to Bihar and Assam CM Relief Funds.
In a Hindustan Times report, a source close to the development said, “On Thursday, Akshay Kumar spoke to CMs of Bihar and Assam and pledged a sum of rupees one crore each at a time when these areas are affected by the natural calamity. Both the Chief Ministers have expressed gratitude and appreciated his gesture that amid so much negativity all around, he could think of the betterment of these states.”
Meanwhile, it was recently when the pandemic hit our shores, Akshay Kumar had donated a sum of Rs 25 crores to the PM Cares Fund. The actor had gone out of his way to help the government in any way possible, while the country was battling with COVID-19.
