It was a few days ago when the rumours of Maneesh Sharma directing Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Tiger 3 gathered some real steam. The shooting schedule of the film was also reportedly out on the internet. But, it seems there’s a bit of a hurdle on Salman’s part for the film.
Recent reports coming in suggest that Salman Khan’s salary will see a cut for YRF’s Tiger 3. So, it’s not just us who are facing the heat of salary-cuts amid the pandemic, apparent Salman too could go through the same. 300 crores is what the budget was reported of Tiger 3.
According to a report published in Rediff Movies, sources close to the production house YRF have rubbished the rumours around the budget and are calling it as “impractical, premature and immature.”
The report also states, “First of all, there is no Tiger 3 right now. Secondly, nobody in his right mind is going to spend so much money on one film for at least the next five years. The Hindi entertainment industry is going through the worst possible recession after coronavirus. The next Tiger film, if and when it happens, won’t be budgeted anywhere close to the figure being quoted.”
This might come in as a shock to Salman Khan fans but that’s what rumours state. Take it with a pinch of salt, the report further reads, “It is the need and demand of the hour. No production house can afford to pay what A-listers were demanding before the pandemic.”
We all know every Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif fan is waiting for Tiger 3 and this news surely doesn’t sweeten that wait. What do you think about the above statements? Do let us know in the comments section below.
