Abhijeet Bhattacharya has been a part of Bollywood for over decades now. In collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan, he has given us many gems from Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaoon (Yes Boss) to Suno Na Suno Na (Chalte Chalte). But, there have been certain disagreements with both the artists and hence we weren’t lucky enough to hear more of them together.
In a recent interview, Abhijeet Da has opened up about IPL, Shah Rukh Khan, Saurav Ganguly and much more. He went on to say that Shah created his IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders and then removed Saurav Ganguly from the team.
Abhijeet Bhattacharya, in his latest conversation with Sportskeeda, said, “I don’t waste my time watching IPL. Rather I would play gully cricket. That is more entertaining for me.”

On Shah Rukh Khan and Kolkata Knight Riders, he added, “Shahrukh Khan created KKR and then removed Sourav Ganguly. It seemed like he came only to do that. Sourav Ganguly showed us what is the role of a captain in cricket, but then the likes of Greg Chappell and Kiran More demoralised him. Next, Shahrukh Khan said that remove him and elect another guy. So, to demoralise him so much was wrong.”
Abhijeet Bhattacharya also considered the age factor in Sourav Ganguly’s case but also felt he was demoralised a lot by people around him. He also expressed his displeasure about how leagues like IPL have driven him away from Cricket.
