Post the debacle of Thugs Of Hindostan, Aamir Khan next project Lal Singh Chaddha was a hot topic of discussion. He announced that he will be a part of the Hindi remake of Hollywood hit film Forrest Gump and set his fans in frenzy. The actor is looking forward to the film and pretty excited about it.
Earlier, Aamir revealed that he had waited for eight longs years to make this film happen! He told, “I’ve been after this film for the last eight years, so I’m thrilled it’s finally happening.” Aamir, who is known to get into a character deeply, has been working hard to step into the shoes of Tom Hanks now. He even gained 20 Kgs to look more authentic and convincing as Lal Singh Chaddha.
Now, Aamir has revealed some major details about his character in the film. Talking to Hindustan Times, the actor revealed, “Atul Kulkarni has done the adaptation and he has made him a Sardaar (Sikh guy), that’s why I’m growing my beard. So far, I’m happy with the script; we start shooting on November 1. Hopefully, we’d be able to execute it well.
He further said, “This character is very lovable. He’s so innocent… he has got this different way of looking at things. He’s someone you immediately empathize with when you connect. Unless I perform it badly (laughs), then it’s a different game. As a written character, it’s such that you’d fall in love with him straight away.”
The team is expected to shoot in 100 different locations across the country, something which has never happened before in Bollywood. The film also brings together Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan back on the big screen once again and their fans are pretty excited for it. The two were recently spotted together and rumours suggest that the two met for the look tests of their characters.
Written by Atul Kulkarni, the film directed by Advait Chandan. Lal Singh Chaddha is backed by Viacom18 Studios and Aamir Khan Productions. The movie is slated to hit the theatres during Christmas 2020, next year.
