Ra.One Countdown Begins, Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge Picks Up At Box-Office
The countdown for Ra.One has begun. All eyes are the costliest film in Bollywood history which will hit the screens on Wednesday, October 26. Before it is thrown open to the public, it will be premiered in Dubai (on 24th) and London (25th). The premiere in Toronto will be held on 26th.

Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge may have collected average but its pick-up during the first weekend was absolutely phenomenal. It collected Rs. 50 lakh on Friday. Collections shot up by 50 per cent on Saturday which ended at Rs. 75 lakh. There was a further jump in collections on Sunday (Rs. 92 lakh) so that the net weekend total went up to Rs. 2.17 crore. Collections on Monday were around Rs. 40 lakh while the week ended at Rs. 3.75 crore. Considering a start of Rs. 50 lakh, the figure of Rs. 3.75 crore for the week is definitely impressive. As predicted last week in the review, youth patronage and positive word of mouth went in its favour the film. Sustained promotion this week should help the film in this dull pre-Diwali week as the audience seem to have little choice.
Mod did not find acceptance among the public and, therefore recorded extremely poor collections. Even the multiplex audience did not really care too much for the Nagesh Kukunoor film in its first week.
My Friend Pinto could not befriend enough audience. The Prateik starrer failed to collect even average figures in its first week. Heavy-budgeted
Aazaan has bombed. It may have cost more than Rs. 30 crore to make, promote and release but its first week’s collections were far lower than even Rs. 3 crore!
Jo Dooba So Paar sank without a trace. The first week’s attendance in cinemas was horrendously poor.
Teen Mahayodha (dubbed) could not do much at the box-office in its first week. Its original English version, The Three Musketeers, fared better but even that was not good per se.
Rascals dropped even further in its second week.
Love Breakups Zindagi recorded frighteningly poor collections in 2nd week everywhere. Soundtrack was also very poor in 2nd week.
Real Steel (dubbed) dropped quite a bit. Ditto for its original English Version. Force is now on its way out of the cinemas.

I have been to Meenakshi mall in Bangalore to see Shahrukh, beleive me
I was amazed to see such a huge crowd. After seeing the huge gathering
which had come only see the Super star I lost hope and I thought that
I wouldn’t be able to see him in real in this huge gathering.
But with lots of difficulties I could mange to see him closely and my dream
came true. No exageration never seen so much of craze for any other actor and
even at the age of 45 SRK really rocks.
i dont think Ra. one will surrpass bodyguard. salman is the king of bollywood
Pathetic creature, why didn’t you think of the term “king” before Srk came in the industry? You and your sallu can never think original. Sure sallu is a king, but of remakes.
