There have been a lot of shows like Ramayan, Mahabharat, Naagin, Hum Paanch amongst others witnessing re-runs amidst lockdown. While The Kapil Sharma Show is witnessing the re-run of their old episodes too, rumours were doing the rounds that the team may shoot from Sharma’s home. But is it really happening? Kiku Sharda has just revealed the truth.
Recently, rumours were rife that amid the on-going situation and the extended lockdown, Kapil Sharma has decided to shoot The Kapil Sharma Show at his house. However, Kiku Sharda in a recent interview has quashed all such rumours and revealed that he has no absolute knowledge of any such thing happening. Furthermore, he revealed that even if the team members are available, the set up will need at least 50-60 crew members, gathering which will be a ‘foolish thing.’
“I’ve not been informed about any such development. I don’t think anything of this sort is going to happen. The situation is bad in the country now and all we need to do is adhere to the rules of the lockdown. It will be foolish to gather 100 people together for a shoot when we have to strictly follow social distancing. And shooting without the staff and important people is absolutely impossible. If we ever plan to shoot for TKSS there will be at least 50-60 people and we can’t afford to do it at this point of time,” said Kiku in a conversation with Times Of India.
Recently, we saw WWE Wrestlemania 36 being shot without a live audience. Something similar was being said to be done with TKSS. About this, the comedian further clarified, “There were talks in between if we should shoot TKSS without the audience and we chucked that idea because it is impossible to shoot in the scenario. The show cannot happen without the audience. So, whenever the lockdown comes to an end and everyone starts shooting we will always shoot, till then no shooting is happening.”
Kiku Sharda is known for playing the role of Bachcha Yadav in The Kapil Sharma Show.
