Shilpa Shinde is known for being her unfiltered self. The Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain! fame actress has always been honest, even if it draws the social media ire. We have previously seen it with her stint in Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss. The actress was supposed to make a TV comeback with Sunil Grover in Gangs Of Filmistan. Everything is now in a soup, quite literally.
It was just during the last weekend when Shilpa accused the makers of hiding Sunil’s casting from her. She claimed that she did not want to work with him and was told they had no scenes together. Just not that, Shinde alleged that the makers were flouting shoot guidelines amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
Now, Shilpa Shinde has confirmed her exit from Gangs Of Filmistan. She claims that she was being used as an ‘eye candy.’ She has also made some startling revelations as she said that the team was sidelined as soon as Sunil Grover came into the picture. Apart from that, the actress claims that the show is nothing but an intended competition to The Kapil Sharma Show.
In a conversation with Times Of India, Shilpa Shinde said, “Comedy is a male dominating genre I have said this earlier. I felt like I was being used as an eye candy. I came, I uttered two lines and went off. It’s not like I have no money and was desperate to get back to work. But they have used my name. I am working after a gap of two years, why will I try to spoil everything, but I want to say that I was getting exploited on the sets when it comes to acting. This show (Gangs Of Filmistan) is being made to give Kapil Sharma a competition.”
The Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! actress also gave an open challenge to the makers. “I am giving an open challenge to the makers if you want to make the show all about Sunil Grover, then please rename it to The Sunil Grover Show and air it on the weekend when Kapil’s show airs, I am ready to work.”
Shilpa Shinde concluded that she will not work in an environment that questions her self respect. Now, only time will tell what happens to Gangs Of Filmistan.
