Nagarjuna Akkineni’s Father’s Reaction On His Long Kissing Scene In Geethanjali Is Uber Cool!

Nagarjuna Akkineni is currently promoting his upcoming Telugu film Manmadhudu 2, a sequel to 2002 romantic comedy which was a huge hit.

During the promotions of the film, Nagarjuna shared an interesting story related to his 1989 film Geethanjali. He talked about the long and famous kissing scene in the film and shared that he thought Censor Board will not approve it and also shared how his father reacted when he watched the scene.

Nagarjuna told Indiaglitz, “Before the show started, I told my father that there is a long, unbroken kissing scene that is very aesthetic. After the show, he told me that’s the best scene in the movie. He also assured me that no Censor Board member will remove that scene if ever he or she loved anybody.”

Directed by Mani Ratnam, the film starred Girija Shettar opposite him.

Meanwhile, Manmudhudhu 2 starring Nag & Rakul Preet in lead is slated to release on August 9. Nagarjuna’s daughter-in-law and much-loved actress Samantha Akkineni also features in a cameo in the film.

Confirming the news, she said, “I play a very interesting extended cameo in Manmadhudu 2. At the moment, I’m not allowed to reveal anything about my character but can vouch that it’s going to be an important one in the story. I am really looking forward to start shooting.”
