Due to the current health crisis, blood banks are having a shortage of blood, as the number of donors has dipped down amid lockdown. Yesterday, Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi donated blood at his blood bank located nearby his residence at Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad. Post blood donation, the Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy actor urged his fans to follow the same.

Chiranjeevi took to his Twitter handle and appealed his fans to come forward and help those in need by donating blood at any nearby hospital or blood bank.

The actor along with the video message that he shared on Twitter also had a caption that read, “During this #CoronaCrisis period, there is a huge dearth of life saving blood. I appeal to ALL to come forward and donate blood to help those in need of blood. You may visit your nearest blood bank or call them so they will guide you on the procedure to
donate blood at this time”

Apart from Chiranjeevi, actor Srikanth and his son too were part of the good initiative. As Chiranjeevi shared their pictures with a caption, “Today along with me, my brother @actorsrikanth and his son #Roshan also donated blood.I thank them for this gesture. #UnitedAgainstCorona”

It was only last week when Jersey actor Nani and his wife had donated blood NTR Memorial Blood Trust Blood Bank in Hyderabad especially for Thalassemia patients including children.

On the work front, Chiranjeevi who was last seen in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy will next be seen in filmmaker Koratala Siva’s directorial Acharya.

The social actioner has Kajal Aggarwal as the film’s leading lady.
