Boating through a scenic river to Barsaat Mahal, Kabir (Danesh Razvi) and Lata (Tanya Maniktala) keep falling in love despite knowing this might not end well. Maan (Ishaan Khatter) faces the heat for his closeness to Saeeda Bai (Tabu) from his Politician (Revenue Minister) father Mahesh Kapoor (Ram Kapoor). All of this is happening amid the trial of Zamindari Act led by Mahesh.
Yes, the accent has finally started bothering me. It’s definitely not easy to not imagine what could have this been in Hindi? Not doubting any bold decisions here but language undoubtedly filters the experience. Can’t get over the song which apparently (as it’s not out yet) should be titled as ‘Paar Tu Laga’; Mira uses it masterfully to comment on the vulnerable situation Lata and Kabir are in.

We get a hint of what role Vijay Verma is playing, and I’m already excited just with this one single scene. The series still is focusing on three significant tracks and hasn’t slid anything else with them. Cinematographer Declan Quinn makes the most of the picturesque locations and does full justice to the Barsaat Mahal.
Things start getting clear in the second episode of A Suitable Not only to leave you to imagine where this could go. The cinematic roads of Calcutta, the Tango dance and the innocence of that era is still fresh. But, there’s a fear of how long this could last.
