Ugly – Anurag Kashyap’s next film that has been slotted to feature in the Director’s Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival released its first poster.
The poster has a conspicuous retro look and shows a small girl siting with shuddered look in a car surrounded by scary silhouettes. The film’s plot is about an alcoholic woman who reunites with her estranged husband when their daughter gets kidnapped. Starring Ronit Roy and Tejaswini Kolhapure, the film’s look has the essence of the poster of Kashyap’s previous film Black Friday too.
Anurag Kashyap, who pioneers the Indie cinema genre in India has four films in order at Cannes 2013, which include Dabba, Monsoon Shootout, Bombay Talkies along with Ugly.
