Illuminati Films and Eros International’s Go Goa Gone hasn’t got a green signal in Kuwait and Nepal. According to an official statement, the zom-com is banned in Kuwait and it needs 20 cuts to release in Nepal. However, thankfully the film, which is set in the backdrop of Goa, where four friends encounter zombies and how they struggle to escape, has got a clearance certificate from the Goa government.
Said director Raj Nidimoru, “We were glad to show Goa government the film because we knew there is nothing derogatory about Goa and that they would see the sense of humour with which we have treated everything. We are happy they okayed the film…Goans will get to watch Go Goa Gone.”

Earlier, the movie faced the ire of anti-tobacco groups when objection was raised on a scene and a poster where actor Saif Ali Khan was seen with a cigar in his mouth.
Go Goa Gone, which released today, stars Vir Das, Kunal Khemu, Anand Tiwari, Puja Gupta and Saif Ali Khan.
