From the day Marvel and Disney took over Fox, fans have been eagerly waiting to hear good news about Wolverine. Hugh Jackman played the character for more than 15 years but not for MCU films. Both Marvel and Wolverine fans are hoping to see how MCU treats Wolverine in their film.
A few weeks ago, Hugh Jackman said that if he was approached by MCU earlier, he would’ve said yes to play the clawed-superhero. However, after his 2017 film Logan, the actor has no interest in playing the character again. But the latest news will make Wolverine fans sad and a bit happy too.
As reported by WeGotThisCovered, Marvel President Kevin Feige really wants Hugh Jackman to be a part of MCU films. So he approached the actor to reprise the role in their universe. Sadly, Jackman turned down the offer as he has no interest in showcasing the character again. However, he hasn’t ruled out the possibility of cameo if there’s any story of a multiverse or any alternate version.
If the news is true, it will be a treat to everyone to see Hugh Jackman reprise Wolverine even if it’s for less time. So only time will tell if this is actually going to happen or not. Just like Wolverine, MCU has rights to Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool too. But there’s no update on it yet. Ryan thinks that if Marvel makes Deadpool 3, it will be super interesting.
