One thing MCU is known for is perfect casting. Tom Hiddleston, who auditioned for Thor got selected to play his brother Loki. That was one of the best decisions taken by the casting directors. After all, The Avengers actor gives away every bit of God of Mischief vibes.
In real life, Tom is quite happy to not be cast as God of Thunder and got to play his brother. However, in the movies, Loki always aimed to be at Thor’s place. Played by Chris Hemsworth, his act as God of Thunder is praised a lot. The duo is a perfect sibling to each other in the MCU.
Looks like Loki’s dream has come true at least in fan art. It’s a fan-made poster for Marvel’s upcoming animated Disney+ series, What If…? In this series, we will get to see what the Avengers’ life would be like if roles are reversed. So the fan has shown how Tom Hiddleston’s character would look like Thor.
What’s interesting is that even though Tom Hiddleston’s Loki is Thor, he has the Tesseract in his hand. One can never understand God of Mischief’s obsession with this blue cube!

Meanwhile, Loki died in Avengers: Infinity War. However, in Avengers: Endgame, during the time heist, his 2012 version escaped with the tesseract. So in MCU’s current timeline, God of Mischief is still alive. Soon, fans will get to see Tom Hiddleston in a standalone Disney+Marvel series, Loki. It will show us his journey after his escape in Endgame.
