Apart from being a loving Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr is now all set to impress his fans as a producer again. The Team Downey is now going to Apple, and the tech-streaming giant has given a straight to series nod to a drama series to be produced by the actor. Below are all the deets.
Robert Downey Jr., Susan Downey and Amanda Burrell, form the Team Downey, will be producing a Drama series for Apple Studios. Billions fame Adam Perlman will be writing the show and will also be the executive producer.
If the report in the Hollywood Reporter is to go by, Robert Downey Jr will even play a supporting part in the show. The show is based on a Toronto Life article by Michael Lista. It follows a Canadian detective, who in frustration takes up an old case in order to crack it and become a hero. But things don’t go as planned and his life is turned upside down.
The yet-untitled show is Robert Downey Jr’s Team Downey’s first collaboration with Apple. The production house owns a first-look deal with HBO and have created a couple of successful show for the giant.
