Egyptian-American actor Ramy Youssef is returning with the Hulu series Ramy Season 2. Fans will finally get to see what happens after Season 1’s cliffhanger climax. But one thing fans won’t get to see is a certain guest star who backed out last minute and that is none other than Lindsay Lohan.

Ramy Youssef gave a shocking revelation when he revealed that he American actress Lindsay Lohan was supposed to appear on his Golden Globe-winning series Ramy. But he said that he stopped hearing from the actress when it was time to arrive on set.



Ramy Youssef, while speaking to Entertainment Weekly magazine, said – “We were interested in this idea of people that you don’t really think are Muslim. We actually cast Lindsay Lohan, because Lindsay had this whole thing about converting to Islam. I talked to her and she was down, and then, you know, like Lindsay does, we just kind of stopped hearing from her”.

He added – “I was trying to get a hold of her and she was on the call sheet, and I guess she couldn’t make it. I don’t know, I never heard from her. You can’t try and put Lindsay in a box, that’s what I know. Lindsay is going to be Lindsay”.

In hopes of getting her for the third season, Ramy Youssef took to Twitter and wrote – “Season three inshallah”.

Ramy Youssef won a Golden Globes Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for his performance in and as ‘Ramy’.
