Dwayne Johnson is one of the biggest stars across the globe. Thanks to his pro-wrestling career as ‘The Rock’ in WWE, the man became a household name amongst the Asians.
Whenever we talk about the highest-paid actors, Dwayne’s name never skips our mind. And well, there are some hardcore reasons behind it. While there is a huge section of people who thinks he is overrated in terms of pay, the actor has nothing but the box office collections of his films to prove the credibility.
Reportedly, Dwayne Johnson, who started his career with $5 million paycheck, bagged a huge amount of $23.5 million (176 crores approx in INR) as upfront fees for Jumanji: The Next Level that released in 2019. Now, that’s really huge!
Apart from the upfront fees, the actor even got benefitted by lucrative back end deals for the film.
Meanwhile, back in June, Dwayne Johnson teased that he will be giving an important update about his upcoming superhero film “Black Adam“.
After years of development, Johnson was supposed to start filming “Black Adam” this year, which got pushed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In an Instagram post, Johnson shared he will be making an appearance at the DC FanDome event to talk about the project. “The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change,” Johnson shared on Instagram along with an artwork, which shows him in the supervillain avatar.
“I will be joining the epic DC FanDome on 08.22.20. This one is for YOU – THE FANS,” he added.
