Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy changed everything for DC Universe. Starring Christian Bale as the caped crusader, it all started in 2005 with Batman Begins. Nolan’s films are touted as the best Batman films by fans. To top it all, it had the very talented Heath Ledger play the clown prince of crime, Joker.
When Heath Ledger entered the DC world as Joker in 2008 film, The Dark Knight, people were terrified with his performance. Even after 12 years since its release, fans call him the best Joker. This is our DC trivia #15 for today. In an interview with Yahoo Movies years ago, Christian Bale shared how he wasn’t content with his own performance. The American Psycho actor said, “I didn’t quite manage what I hoped I would throughout the trilogy. Chris (Nolan) did, but my own sense of self is like, ‘I didn’t quite nail it’.”
Christian Bale added, “Heath turned up, and just kind of completely ruined all my plans. Because I went, ‘He’s so much more interesting than me and what I’m doing.”
After Christian Bale, Ben Affleck joined DC Extended Universe as Batman for the film, Batman V Superman. After playing the caped crusader in Justice League (2017), Ben decided to not to play the superhero anymore.
