No Marvel fan can ever forget Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang/Ant-Man’s reaction when he met Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers/Captain America. The two met for the first time in Captain America: Civil War (2016). It turned out to be one of the memorable scenes. Civil War was quite a serious film as Cap and Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man were against each other. Rudd’s character was a comedic relief for sure.
That wasn’t just Scott Lang’s first-ever meeting with Steve Rogers but also Paul Rudd’s first meeting with Chris Evans. The actors were quite excited to shoot together. Just like his character, Paul was a fan of Chris. If you think Ant-Man’s meeting with Captain America was funny, their real-life meeting was hilarious AF. Evans revealed that Rudd danced for him when they first met. The Defending Jacob actor decided to get some content for “yearbook video” that has behind-the-scenes footage. He shared the idea with Anthony Mackie, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and others present.
In Variety’s Actors on Actors series, Evans reminded Paul Rudd of the same and said, “I was like, “Hi, nice to meet you. You don’t know me, but can I get this?” It was you, Mackie, I think [Jeremy] Renner, Sebastian, and I just said, “Look, everyone, just dance for 30 seconds,” and you did it. You were a great sport. You willingly danced with little explanation from me, and then I never completed the video. I just abandoned it. But I got that footage of our first day of meeting of you dancing.”
Well, we really want to see footage of Paul Rudd’s dance for Chris Evans. After all, who doesn’t want to see Ant-Man’s dancing for Captain America?
Meanwhile, after Avengers: Endgame, Chris bid goodbye to MCU and his superhero character. Fans want Marvel to star Paul Rudd in Ant-Man 3 as they love his character and the comedy element in his films.
