Charlize Theron has been in the news for the past couple of days for her charity screening of Mad Max: Fury Road. The actor has now compared the universe in the film to the pandemic (COVID-19) times we are living in now, and you cannot deny these similarities. Below is what precisely the actress has to say about it.
Charlize Theron who played the iconic Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road has been taking strolls down the memory lane quite often. She recently held a charity drive-in screening of the movie in honour of her Africa Outreach Project.
Now what made this screening unique was the fact that viewers had to sit in their cars and were told to wear masks. This led to Charlize Theron drawing similarities between the film playing on the big screen and the COVID-19 times we are in.
As per the Screenrant report, the actor said, “We’re basically dressed like Tom Hardy in the film. We’re wearing muzzles to protect ourselves. I always felt like this story was a cautionary tale. It feels so imminent. The story of the search for community and belonging and finding your tribe really resonated with me. We need to do better. We need to take care of each other.”
However, last week, Charlize Theron shared a video of her shaving her head for getting into Furiosa and the video was badass. It went viral in not time, and the actor was hailed.
