According to box office analyst, Luiz Fernando‘s latest report, The Odyssey collected a solid $14.6 million on its 9th weekend at the worldwide box office from the IMAX screenings alone. It includes $290.9 million overseas and $215.2 million domestic total, bringing the IMAX collection past the $500 million milestone globally. Its IMAX total worldwide stands at $506.1 million cume.

This is reportedly $230 million more than Avatar, which was previously the all-time highest-grossing film in IMAX screens. The mythological epic still has a few more weeks left in IMAX to earn more.
