Yes, more shows were expected given the credentials involved, but the show count was bound to be impacted by the dream run of Hanuman Ansh and the re-release of Avengers: Endgame (Avengers Endgame: Encore). Even Mirzapur The Movie has retained some shows for itself.
The Vvaan grosses close to 2.5 crore through day 1 advance bookings
Coming to the final day 1 advance booking update, The Vvaan sold 1.17 lakh tickets (excluding blocked seats). In terms of collections, it grossed 2.47 crore at the Indian box office through opening-day pre-sales. In net collections, it equals 2.09 crore. It’s a decent number for a film that’s word-of-mouth-dependent. With the benefit of a partial holiday in several states, the film will get an additional boost through walk-ins. Of course, the extent of walk-ins will be dependent on audience word-of-mouth.

Among states, Delhi is at the top in advance sales with 44 lakh gross, followed by Maharashtra’s 30 lakh. Among cities, the NCR region is leading with 44 lakh gross, followed by Mumbai’s 20 lakh. Patna contributed 17.02 lakh.

With 2.47 crore, The Vvaan has registered the best day 1 advance bookings for Sidharth Malhotra in the post-COVID era. It surpassed Param Sundari (2 crore approx) to claim the top spot.
