
Christopher Nolan’s latest epic, The Odyssey, is currently in its 7th week at the box office. The fil is still going strong at the box office and is aiming for the 600 million milestone domestically. The Hollywood epic has also regained the #1 spot at the US Box Office, surpassing Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which had been dominating the #1 spot since its release on July 31.
The Odyssey Beats Barbie, The Dark Knight!
On its 7th Wednesday, the Matt Damon-starrer registered a strong $1.8 million, which was just a 21.7% drp from its 6th Wednesday. In its 7th week, the film lost nearly 500 shows to new releases. Despite that, the movie saw only a minimal drop in collections from its 6th week.
The Odyssey has become one of the biggest 7th Wednesday collections, surpassing Nolan’s previous biggie, The Dark Knight, and the recent hit Obsessions.

The Odyssey’s cumulative total is now $569.8 million in the USA. On Friday, it will surpass the lifetime US Box office collection of The Super Mario Bros Movies ($574.9 million). With this, the Nolan film will become the second-highest-grossing film ever domestically. Currently, The Odyssey is expected to wrap its domestic run with a cume of $610-630 million.
