Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior Box Office Day 23 Early Trends: The Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan led film is still roaring strong and strengthening its position at the box office with each passing day. After crossing the 240-crore-mark, it’s cruising towards breaching 250 crores.
This has already been one of the biggest surprises of the year. Last year it was Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike which did a similar thing and released during a similar period. Tanhaji till Friday had collected 240.64 crores with an assurance of having yet another explosive weekend.
It’s 4th Friday was 2.77 crores and as per the early trends coming in, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior has yet again shown a huge growth to collect in the range of 3-5 crores. This is an unparalleled success for everyone associated with the film. If we go by the early trends, it’ll take the grand total somewhere around 243-245 crores.
In its fourth week, Tanhaji collections continue to be the best in Maharashtra, with the state contributing nearly 60 percent of the film’s overall collection.
Notably, Tanhaji collected more in the Mumbai circuit on Friday, which was day 22 for the film, than “Jawaani Jaaneman” on the same day, which was its day one.
Saif recently opened up about his character and said, “So pleased to be a part of such an inspiring and entertaining film! Thank you, Ajay, for this great part that will go down as one of my very best! God bless Om Raut, Kumarji, ADF films and the memory of Subedar Tanaji Malusare and Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaaj.”
Ajay also announced on Instagram that the film has become a blockbuster. “Marching towards glory with all your love! Thank you for making #TanhajiTheUnsungWarrior a blockbuster hit of 2020! #TanhajiUnitesIndia,” he wrote.
