Directed by Dilip Ghosh, Commando is produced by Vipul Shah, and the project has been heavily promoted with multi-city tours and through TV shows.

In the movie, Vidyut plays Captain Karanvir Dogra, a dedicated commando. The 34-year-old, who made his Bollywood debut in a negative role in John Abraham-starrer “Force” in 2011, says it was a privilege to play the solo lead.

Vidyut is not one bit worried that the movie releasing in the midst of the IPL, or even with the fact that it releases with Nautanki Saala, which stars Ayushmann, who gathered a huge fan following post his debut Vicky Donor last year.

“I feel IPL people must be nervous that Commando is releasing. I feel so because when a good movie and a good match normally come together, I watch the movie because the match I can later watch during its re-telecast,” he said.
