Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan Box Office Day 1: Ayushmann Khurrana Gets His 3rd Highest Opener!

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan Box Office: Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan has turned out to be the third biggest opener till date for Ayushmann Khurrana. With a start of 9.55 crores, it has taken a good enough start as the film’s subject was not quite universal and even though an attempt was made to help it reach out to the family audiences, at the end of the day the theme itself has certain limitations.

Of late, Ayushmann Khurrana has been seeing a good opening for his films on a consistent basis, case in point being Bala (10.15 crores) and Dream Girl (10.05 crores). Ideally, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan too should have managed a double-digit opening due to two reasons. First and foremost, Ayushmann Khurrana’s graph is moving upwards. Secondly, the film released on the partial holiday of Mahashivratri. However, as stated earlier, the subject resulted in slightly lesser numbers.

The first big step for the film would be to now maintain the same collections on Saturday as on Friday. Though ideally, concept-based films grow well on Saturday, this theme has its select takers. Moreover, it is coming after a partial holiday. Post that then it would be about the Sunday growth and that would decide how much further ahead would this Aanand L. Rai production be going.
